Rental FAQ's

 

1. Does The Chocolate Fountain Use Real Chocolate?

Answer: Yes, we use the highest quality Chocolate. This is done for two reasons: First, Taste is of utmost importance and we will not compromise quality. Secondly, the quality, consistency and flow of the chocolate will be much more appealing.

 

 

2. What is included in the rental?
Your chocolate fountain rental includes: 30lbs of premium chocolate (which serves an unlimited amount of guests for 2.5 hours), unlimited wooden skewers, a highly trained professional Chocolate Concierge (who monitors the fountain, aids your guests in dipping etiquette, answers any questions, keeps the area clean, promotes good fun, and keeps dipping items and chocolate stocked), an elegant display, 2.5 hours of service, and free delivery, setup, breakdown, and clean up.

 

 

3. How Much Chocolate Do You Provide?

Answer: Our pricing includes 30 pounds of high quality chocolate. In most scenarios, this will be more than enough chocolate. This will serve up to 400+ guests. However, for larger events that run longer than 2.5 hours, we offer you the ability to purchase additional chocolate in 10 pound increments. Each 10 pounds will serve an additional 100 people.

 

 

4. What Is The Size Of The Chocolate Fountain?

Answer: We have 2 fountain sizes. The Chocolate Fountain is 30 inches tall & 16" in diameter and weighs approximately 100 pounds after adding chocolate. We also offer a large fountain that stands 44 inches tall. Both fountains serve the same amount of people. The largest difference is the larger fountain has one extra tier and is approximately one foot taller.

 

 

5. Do I Have To Set Up, Tear Down & Clean Up The Chocolate Fountain?

Answer: Of course not, we do all the work for you. We will arrive at your special event at least one hour prior to the designated starting time. The fountain will then be carefully set up and the chocolate will be melted and flowing elegantly so your guests will smell the sweet aroma of chocolate when they begin to arrive. We then will clean up and dismantle The Chocolate Fountain when our time has ended. You will only have to enjoy your party!

 

 

6. How Long Can I Have The Chocolate Fountain At My Event?

Answer: Our package includes use of The chocolate fountain for 2.5 hours. This is usually plenty of time for most occasions where it is being used for the appetizer or dessert portion of the event. However, we will not leave if there is a steady flow of guests using the fountain. This does not include set up and tear down, which is done on our time. For occasions such as trade shows, conventions or other events where additional time is needed, you can request overtime at an additional cost.

 

 

7. What Are The Table & Electrical Requirements?

Answer: Since The Chocolate Fountain weighs approximately 100 pounds when full, a level, sturdy table is a must. If it is not level, the chocolate will not flow properly. Your banquet facility should provide two table linens that will coordinate with your color scheme. The Chocolate Fountain requires a 120 volt grounded electrical outlet (a normal wall outlet) within 10 feet of the set-up location.

 

 

8. What Accompaniments Can Be Used With The Fountain?

Answer: The Chocolate Fountain will be the centerpiece of your hors d'oeuvres table. Items which can be dipped in the chocolate should be placed closest to the fountain. Examples would be: strawberries, pineapple, apple slices, marshmallows, pretzels, angel food cake (not pound cake), cookies, etc. Use your imagination or check out our dipping items section! The items do not have to be expensive to be a crowd-pleaser! Please keep in mind that any crumbly-type food that may fall into the fountain  will cause the chocolate to get lumpy and not flow properly. See our Dipping Items Section

 

 

9. Who Provides The Accompaniments?

Answer: We would love to provide the dipping items for your event. However, many banquet facilities or caterers do not allow outside vendors to provide food items - that is either included with your package or an additional item for you to purchase through the banquet facility/caterer.  We ask that you provide us with your caterer and venues contact information and you may also provide them with ours. We will coordinate between the them to decide the best dipping snacks for your event. We love providing the dipping items. 10. Do You Provide The Decorations For Around The Chocolate Fountain?

Answer: The Chocolate Fountain itself is the ultimate decoration for any table. The cascading chocolate along with the colorful array of fruit and other appetizers is plenty of decorations to make the table appealing.  We will add to its elegance by using multi-leveled displays, professional plate ware, and additional tablecloths, if desired. Of course, you are more than welcome to provide any additional decorations if you so desire.

11. Can The Chocolate Fountain Be Used Outdoors?

Answer: The Chocolate Fountain will only operate in enclosed areas. Any wind will cause the chocolate to spray. As well, the chocolate’s sweet aroma, little flying creatures are very likely to be attracted to the fountain. Beyond that, maintaining the temperature of chocolate is critical for continued smooth operation. This would be difficult to accomplish in an outside setting.
